This small house was built about 1750. It was moved from Gates County near Bennetts Creek. It has been beautifully restored and modern comforts have been added such as air-conditioning and a gas furnace. Bennetts Creek house has a queen bed and two twin beds in the upstairs bedroom. There is not a door to close between the bedrooms. The stairs are old and very steep, so upstairs is not a good place for very young children. The bathroom has a shower. It has a microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, phone, and cable TV. The fireplace can be used by the guests for $10. Pets are not allowed in this house and smoking is not permitted inside.
